Gossip Girl recurring guest star Michelle Trachtenberg (Georgina Sparks) was spotted on the red carpet looking beautiful at the Women In Film 2009 Crystal and Lucy Awards at the Hyatt Regency Century Plaza Hotel in Century City, Los Angeles on June 12.

Trachtenberg will be back on Gossip Girl when Season 3 returns. From what we’ve heard, she will be torturing Blair (Leighton Meester) in college. I’m sure that’s all Blair needs, now she that and Chuck (Ed Westwick) are FINALLY together, but I think Blair can handle her own.

Trachtenberg also is starring in a new series on NBC called Mercy this fall. Except on this show, she’s not the bad girl. She’s more of the naive young nurse.

OMG! The clip from Gossip Girl 2.22 “Southern Gentleman Prefer Blondes” with Michelle Trachtenberg back as Georgina Sparks is awesome. You’ve got Dan, Serena, Blair and Nate basically freaking out as Chuck sits back to watch it all unfold.

Here’s the official guide for the episode: Georgina (guest star Michelle Trachtenberg, 17 Again) returns to the Upper East Side after undergoing a major transformation. Chuck (Ed Westwick) and Nate (Chace Crawford) find themselves at a major crossroads in their relationship as it pertains to their mutual interest in Blair (Leighton Meester). Serena (Blake Lively) finds her relationship with Gabriel (guest star Armie Hammer) growing more complicated.

And in this clip after the jump, Blair explains to Nate that she has no intention of riding the subway … ever.

Newsweek just put up this great insightful and fun video interview with Gossip Girl’s Michelle Trachtenberg, who plays Georgina Sparks. The interview called "7 Things You Didn’t Know about Michelle Trachtenberg" first explains why she enjoys playing an "evil" character, noting you’ve done a good job as an actor or an actress if people walk up to you and tell you they hate you.

Here’s the seven thing you didnt know about Michelle:

• Michelle hates peanut butter. If you are dating her, plan to brush your teeth if you just ate a peanut butter sandwich.
• She’s not the camping type.
• The Gossip Girl cast is like a big family, there’s no drama on set.
• She can speak Russian pretty fluently, though pretty general stuff, not politics.
• She doesn’t know how to vacation. She would rather be working … and holding her Blackberry tightly.
• She’s a big House fan and was thrilled to guest star on it.
• The boys didn’t like her in high school. They were mean to her. On her new movie "17 Again," she says she was asked if she would want to relive high school. Absolutely no, she says. Wisdom comes with age she says.

Gossip Girl is known for its fashion sense but it was a former Gossip Girl who made waves at this year’s Fashion Week.

Six Project Runway designers presented their collections in front of judges who included stylist Rachel Zoe, former contestants, Harvey Weinstein, Tim Gunn (filling in for an injured Jennifer Lopez) and our favorite Gossip Girl co-star, Michelle Trachtenberg.

Of the designers, Michelle Trachtenberg said she would wear anything by the female designers:

I thought they were all really, really beautiful. A lot of hard work went into them. I love Kenley, but Leanne has some great stuff. I think the competition is between those two.

Despite earlier whisperings to the contrary, several sources (including TV Guide) are reporting that Michelle Trachtenberg has still not been signed to a second season of Gossip Girl. Hmm. I guess the producers are letting that story die… for now.

In other TV casting news, also reportedly not yet signed: Gossip Girl’s Kristen Bell has yet to sign up for another season of Heroes.

Michelle Trachtenberg is the girl we love to hate as Georgina Sparks on Gossip Girl. Today, she shows off her acting chops as a Danica Patrick-ish professional race car driver in the movie The Circuit.

Michelle plays Kylie Shines, a high school student who gets the opportunity to get behind the wheel as a professional race car driver. There are a couple of bumps along the way - including the crush that her bff has had on her. He’s Jake, who is not only in love with Kylie but is also her crew mechanic. But Kylie has her eyes set on someone else - race car driver Kid Walker who sees Kylie as an opportunity to up his press quota. Will she follow her heart or chase her dream?

After more than one fashion gaffe, Michelle Trachtenberg finally gets it right from perfect coif to appropriate shoes. Michelle was in attendance at the Chanel Boutique Opening on Robertson Blvd. in Beverly Hills, California earlier this week.

Maybe she’s channeling a little Leighton Meester, one of our favorite Gossip Girl fashionistas. Leighton looked oh so Chanel at the event.

Other attendees included Rachel Bilson, Angie Everhart and Amber Valletta - no Paris Hilton, but mom Kathy Hilton stopped by.

While the cameras went into full shutter frenzy, long timers were lamenting the arrival of the sleek new store - the first chain boutique on the formerly indie stretch. Rumors are that Dolce & Gabbana and Ralph Lauren will be making the move shortly.

To celebrate its arrival on the boulevard, the store features four nail polish shades called, aptly, the Robertson Collection. They are Melrose, Rodeo Drive, L.A. Sunrise and L.A. Sunset. They retail for $25 each - and you can’t get them anywhere else.

Gossip Girl may be getting more Georgina. Michelle Trachtenberg’s role as the evil Georgina Sparks was supposed to be an arc for a few episodes in season one. However, response to the character has made Gossip Girl producers rethink that plan. The Los Angeles Times is reporting that Trachtenberg will become a regular cast member next season.

Season two will also include two more episodes than normal. While most full seasons are 22 episodes, the CW has announced that Gossip Girl’s second season will have 24 episodes - hmm, maybe extra episodes to make room for the extra bitchiness?

We all know that Georgina Sparks, Michelle Trachtenberg’s character on Gossip Girl, loves to party. But is life imitating art? The New York Post is reporting that the Gossip Girl newcomer fainted at a party she was hosting at the new Sunglass Hut store in SoHo in New York City. Reportedly, she passed out at 8pm but continued to party once revived and appeared just fine hours later.

Michelle showed up later at the Vavoom party in this fabulous sequined dress. I’m loving the dress but not the tights and boots - a little too much if you ask me. What would have been better? Bare legs and some cool strappy sandals.

Also at the Vavoom/Entertainment Weekly party?

Gossip Girl co-stars Connor Paolo, Taylor Momsen and Jessica Szohr. Jessica looked great (again, not a fan of the shoes) but I’m not sure what look Taylor Momsen was going for… I know that she embraces fashion in a Sarah Jessica Parker kind of way - sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t. I’m voting “doesn’t” with this dress. Kudos to her for trying to make it work, most girls could not carry off that shade of yellow. But the lack of structure just bothers me (although her shoes are MUCH better than Jessica’s!).

Gossip Girl star Blake Lively (hmm, apparently arriving alone - I didn’t see any shots of Penn Badgley on the red carpet). This ensemble is the same one as in her Gossip Girl interview with TV Guide and I just love it. She looks beautiful and age appropriate.

And Gossip Girl star Leighton Meester, looking a little bit tan and definitely channeling Audrey Hepburn. The outfit to me is so Roman Holiday/My Fair Lady - could she look any prettier?

Last week, reporter Andrew Goldstein interviewed Michelle Trachtenberg and asked about her character, Georgina Sparks, as well as if those rumors about her and Chace Crawford are true…

Goldstein: “So, we asked, was there any truth to the reports that she was dating Chace Crawford?

Trachtenberg: “I don’t read into tabloid bullshit, and I don’t discuss my private life. Chace is my co-worker, so…” Insert weird giggle.

Goldstein: “Ohhhh. Well, Page Six today said you were an item we offered — helpfully, we thought, since Michelle had said that she didn’t read tabloid bullshit. They said you were at Upstairs in Soho, ‘flirting heavily’ and an onlooker told them that you were ‘all over each other,’ so like, you are dating, right? Or maybe not ‘dating’ but—”

Trachtenberg: “I mean, did you not just hear me? I don’t talk about tabloid bullshit, and Chace is a co-worker of mine, so … Tabloids make up crazy shit, and I don’t have to play into it.”
