Chuck and Blair fan video: Because you loved me

June 8, 2009 by Cheril Vernon

Here’s a great fan-made Gossip Girl video of what Chuck (Ed Westwick) was thinking before he FINALLY told Blair (Leighton Meester) that he loved her in the Season 2 finale. Something we “Chair” fans had been waiting all season for!

The producers definitely made us wait until the very end, but it was worth it knowing they are together now.

I wonder how Chuck and Blair together - and out of high school - will work when we return for season 3 this fall.

Hopefully, when they start filming Gossip Girl on the streets of New York in about a month, we will get a few clues.

Gossip Girl finale clip: Blair and Serena

May 18, 2009 by Cheril Vernon

OMG! The season finale of Gossip Girl is so gonna rock!

In this clip, Blair (Leighton Meester) and Serena (Blake Lively) discuss how Serena’s tired of being the target of Gossip Girl blasts. Having her arrest blasted to everyone was the last straw.

Meanwhile, I guess Serena shared with Blair that Chuck did say he loves Blair. But Blair says it doesn’t count unless Chuck says it to her. Serena asks if Chuck knows that she broke up with Nate. Blair figured Serena told him.

“It’s not like we stay up late braiding each other’s hair and having heart-to-hearts,” Serena says.

So funny!

The Gossip Girl finale “The Goodbye Gossip Girl” 2.25 will air at 7 p.m. CST tonight on The CW.

Jessica Szohr talks about Gossip Girl finale and next season

May 18, 2009 by Cheril Vernon

Gossip Girl’s Jessica Szohr, who plays Vanessa Abrams, says the season finale “The Goodbye Gossip Girl” (2.25) today will be full of drama as everyone tries to figure out who Gossip Girl’s identity.

She also says couples who didn’t work out with other people might be getting back together. Could she be referring just to Chuck and Blair or to Nate and Vanessa too?

Szohr also discussed how season 3 will start, with a couple going to NYU, a couple to Brown and one person not going to college at all. Vanessa will be among those going to NYU.

Verizon spoiler for Gossip Girl finale

May 15, 2009 by Cheril Vernon

Rufus (Matthew Settle) is still ticked off at Lily (Kelly Rutherford) in this Verizon Wireless spoiler video for the season 2 finale of Gossip Girl, “The Goodbye Gossip Girl.” Here, Rufus realizes that they already reserved seats together for the graduation ceremony.

I think the dude might have a heart attack if he doesn’t calm down soon! I know he’s pretty young, but carrying around that much stress is not good for you!

Cyrus (Wallace Shawn) and Eleanor (Margaret Colin), try to tell them - not knowing they are having troubles - to take the plung. “Marry before it’s too late,” Cyrus tells the unhappy couple.

But Rufus is mad at Lily for trying to bail him out secretly from the Poppy Lifton money scam and for putting her daughter Serena (Blake Lively) in jail to teach her a lesson.

In the finale, we are supposed to get our first glimpse at the love child of Rufus and Lily, ya know, the one they were told that died? Spoilers have said that the “love child” will be in the episode before he is revealed, so watch out for extra people in the show.

Gossip Girl "Valley Girls" spoilers: Prom photos

It’s Prom Night for our favorite Upper East Siders on Gossip Girl on Monday on The CW.

While the “Valley Girls” 2.24 episode will mostly be a flashback into Lily’s past featuring Brittany Snow as her younger counterpart, the episode will also focus on the prom. Blair (Leighton Meester) and Nate (Chace Crawford) are together at the prom and look pretty happy together in the beginning, but we know that Chuck (Ed Westwick) is supposed to throw a wrench into those plans.

From video spoilers of the episode, we also know that the “mean girls” are planning to do something relating to Blair being crowned prom queen. I’m just not what they are trying to get out of it. Blair is beautiful though as the “queen.”

Here are more prom photos - mostly of Blair and Nate, but also Chuck and Serena:

Gossip Girl’s 2.24 "Valley Girls" spoilers

May 6, 2009 by Cheril Vernon

Are you ready to go back to the ’80s with Lily van der Woodsen?

On the May 11 episode of Gossip Girl, 2.24 “Valley Girls,” we will get to see what makes the former Lily Rhodes tick. Can she really relate to Serena, who she had put in jail to keep her out of trouble?

In the flashback to the ’80s that serves as the backdoor pilot to Valley Girls, 17-year-old Lily Rhodes (Brittany Snow)gets kicked out of boarding school and runs away to Los Angeles, reconnecting with her parents, Rick (Andrew McCarthy) and Cece (guest star Cynthia Watros, Lost), and sister, Carol (Krysten Ritter).

No Doubt will perform in th episode as an ’80s band called Snowed Out. Watch their performance of "Stand and Deliver" here.

Back in present day, Blair (Leighton Meester) and Nate (Chace Crawford) attend prom together, but the evening doesn’t turn out exactly as planned and Chuck (Ed Westwick) has a little something to do with that. Serena (Blake Lively) and Lily (Kelly Rutherford) don’t see eye-to-eye over Serena’s recent run-in with the law.

Gossip Girl discussion: Chuck lets Blair go … for now

May 5, 2009 by Cheril Vernon

For Gossip Girl “Chair” fans, it was something we were waiting for - though not quite the result we were wanting. But in a way we did learn something about Chuck Bass (Ed Westwick).

Though heartbreaking for Blair (Leighton Meester), we see in this scene that Chuck does love Blair, even admitting it to Serena (Blake Lively) once again.

Chuck’s reason for not being with Blair? He doesn’t think he can make her happy. A selfless reason for a person known to be so selfish.

Of course, for Blair and Nate fans (Blate) , I know this isn’t what you want to see. Blair would choose Chuck in a heartbeat over Nate if she thought he was a “safe” bet.

And from what I’m hearing, Chair fans will be happy in the finale … meaning Chuck Bass is going to do something totally romantic to sweep Blair off her feet. Will they last when they do get together? Who knows? I’m sure that’s something we will have to see in Season 3.

And will Nate (Chace Crawford) fight for Blair or give in to Chuck?

What did you think of the scene between Chuck and Blair in last night’s episode “The Wrath of Con,” 2.23? What were you thinking when Chuck said it was just a “game”?

Gossip Girl spoiler: Will Blair move in with Nate?

May 3, 2009 by Cheril Vernon

What will Blair (Leighton Meester) say when Nate (Chace Crawford) wants to know point blank if she is going to move in with him? We will find out Monday on the new Gossip Girl 2.23 “The Wrath of Con” on The CW.

But it looks like the answer is no. Nate is tired of Blair running off to help Serena (Blake Lively), so he decides to follow her - probably to keep Chuck (Ed Westwick) away.

Photos from Gossip Girl 2.23 “The Wrath of Con”

April 30, 2009 by Cheril Vernon

Here are 18 photos from Gossip Girl’s 2.23 “The Wrath of Con” episode set to air on Monday, May 4.

Georgina Sparks (Michelle Trachtenberg) is all dolled up to help Serena and the others get even with Poppy Lifton.

I wonder if Georgina borrowed the headbands from Blair (Leighton Meester)?

Chuck (Ed Westwick) looks especially dashing in several of the photos.

I’m hoping Serena’s (Blake Lively) trust in Gabriel (Armie Hammer) is completely gone. I don’t want her to give him a second chance!
