Ed Westwick, who plays the notorious Chuck Bass on Gossip Girl, signs autographs for fans as he leaves BBC Radio 1 in London.

I think Westwick looks exceptionally handsome in these set of photos — even with a little gruff. Check out the little girl’s expression in the photo above — she’s pretty excited.

Gossip Girl ‘Seder Anything’ spoiler video: Chuck and Serena

April 15, 2009 by Cheril Vernon

FINALLY, we get a new clip of Gossip Girl, 2.20 “Seder Anything.” New episodes of Gossip Girl will return this Monday, April 20 on The CW.

Obviously, Serena (Blake Lively) is keeping a secret about what happened in Spain with socialite friend Poppy (guest star Tamara Feldman) and Gabriel (guest star Armie Hammer). And as always, Chuck (Ed Westwick) made it a priority to see what the “prodigal daughter” was up to, even though it looks like from this video he’s pretty occupied.

When Serena asks him if he’s over Blair (Leighton Meester), since a synchronized swimmer hottie leaves his suite, Chuck says after a short roadblock he did, remembering he’s a “17-year-old billionaire with tremendous stamina.” Chuck, you are sooo bad!

Here’s the official description of the “Seder Anything” episode from The CW:

Serena returns from her trip to Spain with Poppy (guest star Tamara Feldman) and Gabriel (guest star Armie Hammer).

Blair (Leighton Meester) makes a secret deal with Nate’s (Chace Crawford) grandfather, William (guest star James Naughton), and Nate learns some disturbing information about his father’s arrest.

Dan (Penn Badgley) takes a job as a cater-waiter to earn money for college, but is distressed when he discovers the gig is a Passover seder at the Waldorf penthouse and several of his friends and family are guests.

Chuck Bass (Ed Westwick) and Nate Archibald (Chace Crawford) appear to argue on the Gossip Girl set while filming March 10 at the Russian Tea Room in New York City.

What do you think they are arguing about? Is it about Blair or something else?

Strange storyline coming for Georgina on Gossip Girl

March 1, 2009 by Cheril Vernon

Watch more E! News Now videos on AOL Video

As we know, Georgina Sparks is coming back to Gossip Girl for the end of season two.

In the clip, Georgina has a run-in with Chuck Bass (Ed Westwick) who is surprised to see her. Especially since she is trying to pass herself off as a member of a cult (maybe she really is, I don’t know!). Is she bad or is she good?

About her character’s “past” with Dan, Michelle tells Watch with Kristin on E! Online to watch out:

“Georgina has some unfinished business with Blair (Leighton Meester), but how that’s going to transpire, I’m not sure. Could be a handshake, could be a fistfight, could get wild and crazy, and seeing as how we left Dan (Penn Badgley) and Georgina, there were some crazy sparks a brewin’. I’m sure there will be fireworks.”

EXCLUSIVE: Behind the scenes with SOAPnet.com’s Gossip Girl puppets!

February 22, 2009 by Cheril Vernon

SOAPNET.com-behind-the-scenes-gossip-girl-puppets-2.JPG

Recently I had the opportunity to talk with Megan Lynn, a producer for SOAPnet.com, who works with a brilliant team on their original Gossip Girl finger puppet parodies for season two. These little two-minutes recaps of episodes are truly the funniest things around if you are a GG fan.

Here’s a sample of one of my favorite finger puppet episodes “New Haven Can Wait”:

How did the Gossip Girl finger puppet recaps come about?

We had started covering and recapping prime time soaps on SOAPnet.com, and wanted a fun way to let people know. Gossip Girl puppets came out of that brainstorming session. We’re all Gossip Girl fans, but I consider myself the teen angst expert – Gossip Girl, 90210, One Tree Hill, Friday Night Lights… It’s fun to lampoon a genre I love so much.

How long does it take to “film” a puppet recap in general?

We shoot them every Tuesday at noon after there’s been a new episode. They take about an hour to an hour and a half, depending on how many people are in it, how many backgrounds, etc.

Who are the “actors” for the finger puppet recaps? Does everyone enjoy playing their characters?

The actors are all employees at SOAPnet.com. I’m in the editorial department, and a number of the other voices are as well. But we also bring in people from video, design, production, tech. We’re just dying for the show to get a Southern character so we can have our photo editor do a part.

Gossip Girl spoilers for “Carnal Knowledge” 2.17 episode

January 28, 2009 by Cheril Vernon

In just six days we can look forward to a juicy new Gossip Girl episode “Carnal Knowledge,” 2.17 at 7 p.m CST Monday on The CW.

In this episode, Gossip Girl herself is put out there front and center when Blair (Leighton Meester) is blamed for sending in rumors to the blog about the new English teacher Rachel Carr (Laura Breckenridge). — possibly expelling her. Who knew school officials were catching up on Gossip Girl?

But don’t worry, we know Blair will fight back. So it should be interesting when Serena (Blake Lively) confides to Blair that her boyfriend (Dan, Penn Badgley) is having an affair with her mentor — Miss Carr, the teacher.

I can’t wait to see this story played out. Can-do-no-wrong Dan actually doing something he shouldn’t? And with a teacher? I wonder if it’s true or if it just appears he was doing something unappropriate.

Meanwhile, Chuck (Ed Westwick) ends up in a hotel room not having the slightest clue what happened to him the night before. Nate (Chace Crawford) and Vanessa (Jessica Szohr) try to help Chuck, who can only remember a beautiful girl (not Blair, obviously) and help him solve the mystery.

Ed Westwick dressed casual on Gossip Girl set

October 22, 2008 by Cheril Vernon

Ed Westwick at the Gossip Girl Set in Astoria

Here’s Ed Westwick (Chuck Bass) on the set of Gossip Girl, this time a little more casual. In fact, he’s wearing jeans!

I guess I’m so excited about that because of all the photos I’ve seen of him on the set, he’s always dressed in his usual Chuck Bass style (bow ties or his trademark scarf). He doesn’t look too shabby either. Read more

Gossip Girl’s Chuck Bass on set in a tuxedo

October 22, 2008 by Cheril Vernon

Ed Westwick at the Gossip Girl Set in Astoria

I’m wondering what the occasion is for Gossip Girl’s bad boy Chuck Bass (Ed Westwick) to be dressed in a tuxedo. And not just a run-of-themill tuxedo — but a sequined tuxedo, because this is, Chuck Bass. He looks so debonair in a James Bond way.

Olympic medalist Nastia Liukin was also dressed up on the same set for her guest role, so I wonder if the two will meet in Gossip Girl world?

Gossip Girl “Chuck In Real Life” 2.07 recap

October 21, 2008 by Cheril Vernon

Will the real Chuck Bass stand up?

Is Chuck Bass just the womanizer, like the new Britney Spears song says in the Gossip Girl promo, or is Chuck Bass just a rich boy who wants to please his father while finding genuine and passionate love?

In Gossip Girl’s “Chuck in Real Life” 2.07 episode, we get a look at what makes Chuck tick. Will he take Blair’s bet to “seduce and destroy” Vanessa to get the opportunity to sleep with Blair again?

The episode starts with Serena (Blake Lively), Eric (Connor Paolo) and Chuck (Ed Westwick) learning at breakfast that Bart (Robert John Burke) and Lily (Kelly Rutherford) have set new rules — Friday night dinner with the family (you gotta be kiddin’ me!) and curfews! They want to introduce the family at a special party and want the kids on their best behavior. Read more

Chuck Bass promo features Britney Spear’s song “Womanizer”

October 18, 2008 by Cheril Vernon

According to US Weekly, Britney Spear’s new song “Womanizer” will be featured on a new Gossip Girl promo that will focus on our No. 1 bad boy Chuck Bass (Ed Westwick).

You just have to watch this promo to see several Chuck Bass clips put together. Yep, I would say the song has him pegged pretty good.

The promo will start running on The CW on Monday, October 20 as well as online at www.cwtv.com
