Little J goes down.

We always knew that Jenny wanted to be like the rest of the girls - Blair, Serena and the gang. But what would she do to fit in?

We found out exactly what she’d do when she stole a dress. A verrry expensive dress. A dress that happened to belong to her friends’ mother.

She stood by while police were called - and someone else was accused of the crime.

Eventually, she was found out - in front of her new friends and her father.

You would have thought that it changed her - but apparently not. But what we all want to know now is… How far will Jenny go?

Serena confesses that she killed someone.

This would totally have been higher up on the list - at #1 - if only it were true.

When Serena ended the “All About My Brother” episode with the words, “I killed someone,” Gossip Girl fans went wild. Who was it? What were the circumstances? Would she go to jail?

It was truly scandalous.

Only it didn’t really happen.

The explanation (that she walked away from an addict who overdosed) was quite a let down - the writers took the easy way out on this one for sure. None of us really thought that Serena actually killed someone - but a more exciting storyline after such an earth-shattering confession would have landed this moment in the top spot, absolutely!

Georgina drugs Serena.

Who even does this anymore? But it was a great moment. When Serena wouldn’t play nice like old times with Georgina, Georgina takes matters into her own hands. She spikes Serena’s drink, causing Serena to miss the SATs. Tongues wag.

The drama that ensued: priceless.

In spring, CW tried to spice up ratings with a new ad campaign. It was on video and in print. And even more promos followed.

The campaign sure got press. And it got backlash.

What it didn’t get? Ratings.

A DUI and possession of marijuana tainted Mischa Barton’s wholesome image. She needed some good press quickly. What better press than to be wooed by a hit series - and then say no?

Reportedly, that’s what happened to Mischa Barton.

Insiders say that Barton created the drama to give the impression that she was in demand. True or not, she did herself no favors. Now, instead of a pot-toting, drunk-driving actress, many consider her a pot-toting, drunk-driving prima donna…

Blair thinks she’s pregnant.

Serena buys a pregnancy test for Blair since Blair is in serious denial about the idea that she could be pregnant.

Drama ensues.

Since Serena bought the test - and the image of her doing it makes the rounds on Gossip Girl - Dan finds out and believes that Serena is pregnant.

Blair confesses to Serena that she had a fling with Chuck - but fails to tell her about Nate.

The bickering that follows leads to one of the best moments of the season… stay tuned!

Hands down, one of the wittiest scenes of the season! Blair goes to confession to confess her sins to the priest… but first she asks if he grants birthday wishes (he said no).

The best part? She isn’t even Catholic.

Blair strips down - and has sex with Chuck.

When the going gets tough, the tough get stripping.

Nate can’t tell Blair that he is in love with her. She leaves, upset.

Later, Blair shows off her “bad” side at the strip club where Chuck hopes to invest his father’s money… The investment goes sour but Chuck still gets the girl.

Chuck gets the girl in the limo - where Blair loses her virginity. Not very romantic, for sure… But dramatic!

Okay, I have to say, the reason that this doesn’t rank higher on the list is because, well, who was surprised? The specific “who” (Jenny’s boyfriend) he was seeing was much more newsworthy than the fact that it was a guy.

The controversy that flowed from the coming out - dinner with Georgina, for example - was definitely buzzworthy. But we all saw it coming…
