Leighton Meester and Cobra Starship “Good Girls Go Bad” video
July 3, 2009 by Cheril Vernon
Leighton Meester, who plays Blair Waldorf on Gossip Girl, really let loose on Cobra Starship’s new video “Good Girls Go Bad.” The song is awesome, Leighton’s voice is really good and getting good reviews, and the video itself is pretty cool! And doesn’t Gabe from Cobra Starship look awesome in his white sunglasses!
Ever since we got a sneak peek of the video and track, it’s been a favorite of mine. It’s just one of those songs that I can listen to over and over without it getting old.
And it’s kinda fitting for Blair’s character as well, since she is paired up with Gossip Girl bad boy Chuck Bass (Ed Westwick). Chuck Bass definitely makes good girls go bad.… I wonder if they will feature the song on any of season three’s episodes.
Gossip Girl has returned to filming for season three, but during the break Leighton worked on her solo music album which should be coming out in the near future. I’m glad she took up this musical endeavor with Cobra Starship and look forward to more of her music.
Blogger sees Taylor Momsen’s band The Pretty Reckless in concert
June 30, 2009 by Cheril Vernon
As you probably know, Taylor Momsen, who plays Jenny Humphrey on Gossip Girl, is the lead singer of a new band called The Pretty Reckless. During her break from Gossip Girl filming (which has now resumed) she toured with The Veronicas.

A blogger named “Wanderling” attended The Veronicas/The Pretty Reckless concert on Saturday in Vancouver along with fellow blogger friend Eyeliah. Pictured above is Wanderling posing with Momsen.
Wanderling has allowed me to share some of the photos she took at the concert.
Here’s her thoughts on the concert:
“… T Mom completely blew me away. I mean, I went in there expecting crap and she actually had a pretty rad band, a wicked smokey voice and cool stage presence. Let’s not forget…THE GIRL IS ONLY 15 YEARS OLD!” Wanderling wrote on her blog.
After the concert she bought a Pretty Reckless tee and got Taylor to sign it.
Have you seen Taylor Momsen in concert? If so, what are your thoughts?

Leighton Meester talks about music on It’s on with Alexa Chung
June 26, 2009 by Cheril Vernon
Gossip Girl star Leighton Meester (Blair Waldorf) made an appearance at MTV studios for “It’s On with Alexa Chung” this week, talking about her music career and the upcoming release of Cobra Starship’s new video “Good Girls Go Bad” which features Meester singing with the group.

<
During the video, members of Cobra Starship join her for the interview and an clip from the video, which will be released Monday, is shown.
You’ll notice there was no mention of the supposed Leighton Meeter “sex tape.” I don’t blame her for not answering questions. This was really the wrong time for that (if there ever is a right time). But hopefully the media hoopla over Michael Jackson and Farrah Faucett deaths will make the story disappear from the headlines.

Gossip Girl love story, Chuck and Blair "Good Girls Gone Bad" video
May 17, 2009 by Cheril Vernon
Love Chuck and Blair?
Moditha86 has made an awesome Chuck-Blair (chair) video featuring some of the best Gossip Girl moments featuring the two.
Even better is the song used in the video - “Good Girls Gone Bad” from Cobra Starship which features Leighton Meester (Blair) singing. I love the song and thing it works perfectly with the Chuck-Blair story. Chuck is such a bad boy and Blair is the good girl who just can’t help herself from falling for him.
Good Girls Go Bad: Gossip Girl’s Leighton Meester featured on Cobra Starship’s new song
May 11, 2009 by Cheril Vernon
Gossip Girl’s Leighton Meester (the wonderful Blair Waldorf) is featured on Cobra Starship’s new single "Good Girls Go Bad," and I have to say, it’s pretty catchy.
The song was co-written by American Idol judge Kara DioGuardi.
Ryan Seacrest world-premiered the new single on his radio show Friday.
Here are some of lyrics Meester sings in the second verse: "I know your type/Boy you’re dangerous/Yeah you’re the guy/I’d be stupid to trust/But just one night couldn’t be so wrong/You make me want to lose control."
During her time off from shooting Gossip Girl, Meester has been in the studio working on her debut album, which she hopes to release in the fall. According to Entertainment Weekly, her first single will debut in July. If Cobra Starship’s song “Good Girls Go Bad” becomes a big hit (and it has a lot of potential) it could help Meester’s singing career quite a bit.

Leona Lewis video “I Will Be” with Gossip Girl’s Chace Crawford
January 24, 2009 by Cheril Vernon

Leona Lewis’ new video "I will Be" has been released and not only is is GOOD — it’s freakin’ awesome because it has Gossip Girl’s Chace Crawford (Nate Archibald) in it in a cameo role.
In the video, Leona plays a criminal running from the law, while Chace Crawford plays her lover who she protects from being caught (or at least that’s my intepretation).
Chace has speaking lines at the beginning of the video. At the end, Leona’s character is arrested by an NYPD officer, played by Cedric Darius.
Chace and Leona originally met at a London party where they became friends and she invited him to be in the video. Follow the jump for the video and more photos:
Gossip Girl’s Chace Crawford to appear in Leona Lewis video
December 21, 2008 by Cheril Vernon
According to PEOPLE magazine, you will be seeing Gossip Girl’s handsome Chace Crawford in an upcoming Leona Lewis video.
Chace, who plays Nate Archibald on Gossip Girl, will star in Leona’s video for her next single "I Will Be," which was filmed Thursday in New York City.
Not only is he appearing in the video — he will have speaking lines as well, the source told PEOPLE.
Chace met Leona on a recent trip to London, where they reportedly met at a party and became friends, the story said.
That led to Chace being asked a few weeks ago by Leona if he would be willing to appear in the video.
