Families and reputations are destroyed and made; so are fortunes. And even the strongest friendships are tested. Designer Stacey Lapidus’ headbands on Gossip Girl

Recently, I had the opportunity to interview designer Stacey Lapidus, whose hair accessories have been featured on Gossip Girl numerous times.
Lapidus recently launched a Holiday line of hair accessories, as well as bracelets, belts and scarves.
Lapidus’ designs have been featured in dozens of magazines and worn by celebrities including Mischa Barton, Sarah Michelle Geller, Paris Hilton, Nicole Ritchie, Kelly Ripa, Eva Langoria, Hilary Duff, Heidi Klum, Joss Stone, Stacey Kiebler, Paula Abdul, Charlotte Ronson.
She also collaborated with The O.C.’s Mischa Barton for a limited edition hair accessories line called Mischa Barton for Stacey Lapidus.
The Interview:
One of my favorite shows is Gossip Girl. Tell me about your experience providing hair accessories, especially for Leighton Meester who plays Blair Waldorf.
I have been a huge fan since episode one…way before I saw my first piece appear on the show. It’s quite a funny story how this relationship happened. I saw my first piece appear on the show and had no clue how it got there! I figured it was bought in a store as wardrobe often is, and I was just so excited to see it, as well as flattered! Read more
Gossip Girl Goes Green?
Spotted: environmentally friendly products in Blair Waldorf’s makeup cabinet.
The folks at whiteapricot.com are reporting that Brigit True Organics products were featured on Gossip Girl. The organic skin and beauty products were seen in Blair’s bathroom.
Are they worth it? White Apricot thinks so. The site reports that the Organic Olive Oil Castille Soap “lathered up nicely in the shower and left our Brigit Organics Skin Care on Gossip Girl skin squeaky clean (literally).” The site also had good things to say about the Organic Shea Butter Solid Lotion.
But don’t take my word for it. Check it out.

Brand New Bag
October 8, 2007 by Kelly
When Serena dangled about her Coach bag on Gossip Girl, my friend who works at Coach noticed immediately. She commented, correctly, that there would likely be a lot of interest in the bag following the show. She was right.
Unlike Serena’s boots, which were surprisingly affordable, the Coach Legacy Satchel (available in black or whiskey) will set you back a few dollars. The bag retails at Coach for $768.
