Talk about a nice magazine cover! Gossip Girl’s Chace Crawford was named Summer’s Hottest Bachelor by People magazine in the June 29 issue.

As a big Gossip Girl fan, I’m thrilled that Chace won this honor, beating out quite a bit of competition, including Twilight’s Robert Pattison.

In People’ magazine’s video interview with Chace, he says he’s not one of those guys who “has” to have a significant other with him at all times. But he does seem him settling down in the future and having kids (he says he is from Texas, after all), by 30-ish. He’s still got plenty of time to do that though.

Chace also says he doesn’t know if he has any certain deal-breakers when it comes to women, but he says it helps if the girl likes sports and she should be able to sit through a football game at least.

You can read a portion of People magazine’s interview with Chace here. He tells People he talks to his parents every day and unlike his character Nate Archibald on Gossip Girl, thinks dating a married woman is a “definite no.”

In the interview, he talks about his first kiss, the perfect date (which involves a pool table, beer, a jukebox and good conversation) and his experience dating Carrie Underwood.

Gossip Girl’s Leighton Meester (Blair Waldorf) is featured in the June 2009 edition of Cosmopolitan wearing a beautiful short deep fushia-colored dress.

Leighton Meester said she was thrilled to do the Cosmopolitan cover for obvious reasons:

“I get to tell my parents that I’m doing it it so they’re very proud of me,” Leighton says in the video. “Cosmo stands for a very confident woman - just sort of shaped how I look at being a woman - independent woman - in life.”

In the behind-the-scenes photo shoot video, Leighton compares music and acting, saying music isn’t as challenging as acting, but it is more emotional.

“When you’re singing it’s a lot of internal things. It’s like showing your diary,” Leighton said.

Some of her music influences include Madonna, Cyndi Lauper, Fergie and MIA. She says her album, being produced by Universal Republic and expected out this fall, is electric, pop, edge and dance.

Leighton Meester was featured on the recent release of Cobra Starship’s “Good Girls Go Bad.”

Here’s a list of things I learned or found of interest in Rolling Stone’s Gossip Girl cover story.

You know, the magazine cover which features Blake Lively (Serena van der Woodsen) and Leighton Meester (Blair Waldorf) sharing an ice cream cone.

1. Ed Westwick has chest hair! We see this in the full spread photo featuring the main cast members all in bed together under the sheets - Nate, Jenny, Serena, Dan, Vanessa, Blair and Chuck.

2. Leighton Meester and Blake Lively say the guys are all about their hair, eyebrows and pouting their lips, which irritates the girls a little.

3. Meester and Lively ARE FRIENDS.

“We’re very close. We’re friends. I can’t even remember a reason why people would say we are not,” Meester tells Rolling Stone.

This definitely is an OMG moment.

When I was sent the photo to share, the subject line on the email said “Not even Chuck Bass can’t top this.” That’s so right. Chuck Bass (Ed Westwick) could only hope to be this “bad” in a photo shoot.

From what I’m hearing, the Rolling Stone interview has some really good stuff in it like Are Leighton and Blake friends in real life?

The Gossip Girl boys took the writer drinking and Ed Westwick shared some great tales as well. Wouldn’t you have liked to be a fly on the wall? I can’t wait to see the story.

Gossip Girl’s Serena and Blair playfully licking an ice cream cone together, a pillow fight and the entire younger cast - including Serena, Blair, Chuck, Nate, Dan, Jenny and Nate together under the sheets.

I have a feeling this issue of the Rolling Stone magazine is going to be popular.

Rolling Stone’s photo shoot with photographer Terry Richardson mostly focuses on the sexiness of Blake Lively and Leighton Meester. The pillow fight - adorable. You just want to be there to join in the fun. The bed scene - all the guys with their shirts off - Ed Westwick, Chace Crawford and Penn Badgley joining the girl cast members Lively, Meester, Jessica Szohr and Taylor Momsen for a little nap.

Taylor has her darker eye makeup on, so it’s like she’s saying, “I’m not Little Jenny anymore” in this photo shoot.

It’s so “nasty” but it’s so good. But that’s what makes Gossip Girl what it is in a way. It’s so “bad for you” that you just can’t stop yourself for watching. It’s a guilty pleasure.

Do I think the photos of Blake and Leighton sharing the ice cream cone are going to help the ratings? I don’t think it can hurt. I can imagine guys drooling over the photos. Of course, just as many girls might drool over the guys. So it’s a win-win for the show, the cast and the magazine.

Blake Lively graces the cover of the February issue of Vogue with a throw back to Grace Kelly herself!!

“She’s the girl of the moment who also has a hit show that people watch as much for the fashion as for the show itself,” says Vogue spokesman Patrick O’Connell, explaining why Blake was chosen.

Inside, Blake talks about Gossip Girl and the fashion on set. “The fashion is just unbelievable. You can watch our show on mute and be entertained.”

“Just being here [in New York City], walking around, you pick it up really quickly,” Blake continues. “In New York, you put on skinny jeans and riding boots and a leather coat and handbag, and you take on that posture and character. It becomes very natural.“

In a really beautiful and fun magazine spread, Gossip Girl’s Taylor Momsen (Little J — Jenny Humphrey) graces the cover of the new Cosmogirl Prom magazine.

On the cover, Taylor wears a light pink prom dress with black dots of all sizes — super cute! But she’s also featured in a spread in the magazine with photos of her modeling some of the hottest prom dresses available, while answering questions about her own prom.

Taylor, who attends a performing arts school in New York, tells Cosmogirl Prom magazine that she attended her first senior prom as a freshman. In pure Jenny Humphrey style, she even jazzed up the prom dress she picked out!

Leighton Meester has been named the sexiest star of fall by FHM online.

FHM Online US Editor JR Futrell had this to say:

As bad girl Blair Waldorf in this year’s breakout hit, ‘Gossip Girl,’ Leighton Meester has stolen the spotlight with her mind-blowing good looks and amazing performance.

Others who made the list include: Hayden Panettiere (Heroes), Madeline Zima (Californication), Deanna Russo (Knight Rider), Jamie-Lynn Sigler (Entourage), Jaime King (Gary Unmarried), Summer Glau (Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles), Kaley Cuoco (Big Bang Theory), Dania Ramirez (Heroes) and Eva Longoria Parker (Desperate Housewives).

After People magazine referred to Gossip Girl’s Blake Lively as “curvy”, on- and off-screen boyfriend Penn Badgley offered his thoughts on body types. Penn tells PopEater that he’s “never been proponent of the thin L.A. girls.” He’s glad, he says that the girls on Gossip Girl “aren’t bone-thin.” His advice for the 90210 girls? “I hope they eat a double cheeseburger or something.”

Me too, Penn. For one, I think they look just plain awful. Shenae Grimes, above, is disproportionate to the point of grotesque. Despite the loads of frills in her dress, her head is nearly as wide as her body (and no, it’s not just a bad photo, every one of her in that dress looks similar). But more importantly, it sets a terrible example. It’s an impossible - and unhealthy - standard.

If the Daily Intel is to be believed (and I think they’re good for it), In Style magazine will be playing nice with the cast of Gossip Girl in October.

The oh-so-entertaining writers at DI are reporting that In Style magazine will be featuring an upcoming party “thrown” by Lily van der Woodsen. In return, In Style editor at large Ariel Foxman and assistant managing editor Honor Brodie will appear on the October 27 episode as themselves.

In addition to the In Style magazine mention on the show, the episode will reportedly feature home decor by another pop culture icon, Ralph Lauren.

The product placement is becoming a little too over the top for my taste - sip of Vitamin Water, anyone?
