Gossip Girl set: Ed Westwick and Leighton Meester on video
July 5, 2009 by Cheril Vernon
Last week, the Gossip Girl cast returned to the set to start filming season three.
Here is a video (with no sound) showing Ed Westwick (Chuck Bass) and Leighton Meester (Blair Waldorf) filming a scene.
Chuck, dressed to the hilt in a suit, is talking on a cell phone while he helps Blair out of the car. Blair is wearing a gorgeous silver (or is it gold?) dress, as they walk down the street. Wonder who Chuck is talking to?
These videos (below the jump) shows a few more photos of Chuck and Blair together during that day of filming, and they hold hands at one point. Also on the video is Chace Crawford (Nate Archibald).
Gossip Girl stars film scenes for season 3

Our favorite Gossip Girl stars are back on set filming for season three!
Ed Westwick (Chuck) and Leighton Meester (Blair) look pretty happy in the photos taken on the set in New York City on Monday. I wonder what their script reads like though? Are they happy and getting along? I love Blair’s very summery floral dress and it seems to go well with Chuck’s outfit.

In the photo below, Ed Westwick and Chace Crawford (Nate) admire a red Ferrari. According to Pacific Coast News, Chuck gives Nate the car.

Also on set was Blake Lively (Serena) in a robe. Follow the jump for more photos:
Hilary Duff to guest star on Gossip Girl
July 1, 2009 by Cheril Vernon
Hilary Duff is joining Gossip Girl for a multi-episode arc, according to EW.cm’s Ausiello Files.
Duff will play Olivia Burke, a movie star who enrolls at NYU — and will end up rooming with Vanessa (Jessica Szohr). That should be fun. How much you wanna bet that Duff’s movie star character is totally going to rub Vanessa the wrong way. Should make for some good laughs!
Duff will debut in Gossip Girl’s fourth episode in season 3, slated to air Oct. 5.
Is it possible that one of our Gossip Girl guys could interest Olivia? Hilary News reports that Olivia wants to date a “simple, nonfamous guy.”
That definitely fits Dan Humphrey’s (Penn Badgley) bill. And he would have the perfect hookup with Vanessa rooming with her.
What do you think about Hilary Duff guest starring on Gossip Girl? Do you think there will her character Olivia and Vanessa will become BFFs? Which character would you want her to be romantically involved with?

Gossip Girl cast back on set
July 1, 2009 by Cheril Vernon
The Gossip Girl cast returned to the set this week to start filming season three.
Thankfully, our Gossip Girl guys, including Chace Crawford and Ed Westwick shaved before returning to set! In fact, Chace’s hair is completely different. His hair is pushed back and is a more styled it seems.

I wonder what Chuck Bass will be doing this season? He’s always up to mischief so it should be interesting now that he’s out of high school. The world is practically at his feet.
And they are LOOKING GOOD! Follow the jump for more photos of Crawford and Westwick on set.
Is the Gossip Girl spinoff dead?

TV networks are making the big decisions this week on what will be on their fall schedules.
The CW will make its official upfront presentation on Thursday. But just as with the other networks, word has leaked early on which pilots will be picked up.
According to multiple sources including Entertainment Weekly and E! Online, The CW will be picking up The Beautiful Life with Mischa Barton, Vampire Diaries with Ian Somerhalder and Melrose Place with Ashlee-Simpson-Wentz.
The bomb also has dropped that the beloved Privileged will not be returning for a second season.
But according to E! Online, the Gossip Girl spinoff with Brittany Snow and Body Politic with Brian Austin Green are not officially dead. E! Online says they are possibilities for the midseason.
However, Entertainment Weekly’s news about The CW pickups earlier today didn’t sound so positive - saying the Gossip Girl spinoff is “DOA.”
So what do we believe? We will just have to wait until Thursday to see what The CW says when it makes its official announcements. Hopefully, we will hear the spinoff is still a consideration for midseason. Personally, I like the idea of the spinoff. I want the ’80s fashions, ’80s music, ’80s saying and the “inside” ’80s jokes. And I love Brittany Snow. What do you think about the spinoff?
Gossip Girl finale clip: Blair and Serena
May 18, 2009 by Cheril Vernon
OMG! The season finale of Gossip Girl is so gonna rock!
In this clip, Blair (Leighton Meester) and Serena (Blake Lively) discuss how Serena’s tired of being the target of Gossip Girl blasts. Having her arrest blasted to everyone was the last straw.
Meanwhile, I guess Serena shared with Blair that Chuck did say he loves Blair. But Blair says it doesn’t count unless Chuck says it to her. Serena asks if Chuck knows that she broke up with Nate. Blair figured Serena told him.
“It’s not like we stay up late braiding each other’s hair and having heart-to-hearts,” Serena says.
So funny!
The Gossip Girl finale “The Goodbye Gossip Girl” 2.25 will air at 7 p.m. CST tonight on The CW.
Will Jenny be the next Queen Bee on Gossip Girl?
May 16, 2009 by Cheril Vernon
Will Jenny be the next Queen Bee on Gossip Girl? Penelope and her minions seem to be wanting her to “try out” for the job. Though they may have something else up their sleeve. I love it when they tell her what would high school be without hierarchy. Jenny replies: “Bareable. A nice place to spend time.” Right on, Jenny!
But in Gossip Girl world, it seems there has to be a queen bee. And at the moment Blair Waldorf is it.
And Blair says she decides who to pass the crown on to. But Penelope says it will be decided by whoever sends the biggest piece of untold gossip to Nate’s party wins. Jenny, don’t do it!

Here’s the official description for the Gossip Girl season two finale, 2.25 "The Goodbye Gossip Girl": Gossip Girl decides to liven things up at the Constance Billard and St. Jude’s graduation by sending out a shocking and damaging email blast in the midst of the commencement ceremony, stirring Serena (Blake Lively) to come up with a plan of attack.
The Mean Girls (guest stars Yin Chang, Nicole Fiscella, Amanda Setton and Dreama Walker) challenge Jenny (Taylor Momsen) to throw her hat in the ring to succeed Blair (Leighton Meester) as Queen Bee next year. Lily (Kelly Rutherford) and Rufus (Matthew Settle) struggle to repair their relationship after Lily’s betrayal.
As for the cliffhangers, Blair and Chuck (Ed Westwick) finally… and Serena is shocked by… and Georgina (guest star Michelle Trachtenberg) decides to… and Dan (Penn Badgley), Nate (Chace Crawford) and Vanessa (Jessica Szohr) unknowingly…. and it all happens in the series’ climactic season finale.
What do you think will happen on the fill-in-the-blank parts? We all know pretty much that Blair and Chuck will be getting together … finally. But what is Serena shocked by? What is Georgina up to? We know she has to be up to something. Or will she take care of Poppy Lifton for good? And what’s the Gossip Girl blast about? And what are Dan, Nate and Vanessa "unknowing" doing. So many questions!
Here’s more photos (after the jump) from the season finale that may help us piece the episode mysteries together:
Verizon spoiler for Gossip Girl finale
May 15, 2009 by Cheril Vernon
Rufus (Matthew Settle) is still ticked off at Lily (Kelly Rutherford) in this Verizon Wireless spoiler video for the season 2 finale of Gossip Girl, “The Goodbye Gossip Girl.” Here, Rufus realizes that they already reserved seats together for the graduation ceremony.
I think the dude might have a heart attack if he doesn’t calm down soon! I know he’s pretty young, but carrying around that much stress is not good for you!
Cyrus (Wallace Shawn) and Eleanor (Margaret Colin), try to tell them - not knowing they are having troubles - to take the plung. “Marry before it’s too late,” Cyrus tells the unhappy couple.
But Rufus is mad at Lily for trying to bail him out secretly from the Poppy Lifton money scam and for putting her daughter Serena (Blake Lively) in jail to teach her a lesson.
In the finale, we are supposed to get our first glimpse at the love child of Rufus and Lily, ya know, the one they were told that died? Spoilers have said that the “love child” will be in the episode before he is revealed, so watch out for extra people in the show.

Are you ready for Gossip Girl’s season two finale?
I don’t know if I’m ready for the season to end and leave me with the whole summer waiting for a new season to start … but I am looking forward to what could be happening in the finale.
Mostly, I can’t wait to see what will happen between Chuck and Blair. How will Chuck answer the question when Blair asks him if he is in love with her?
Here is a video with photos from the season finale:
