Gossip Girl set: Ed Westwick and Leighton Meester on video
July 5, 2009 by Cheril Vernon
Last week, the Gossip Girl cast returned to the set to start filming season three.
Here is a video (with no sound) showing Ed Westwick (Chuck Bass) and Leighton Meester (Blair Waldorf) filming a scene.
Chuck, dressed to the hilt in a suit, is talking on a cell phone while he helps Blair out of the car. Blair is wearing a gorgeous silver (or is it gold?) dress, as they walk down the street. Wonder who Chuck is talking to?
These videos (below the jump) shows a few more photos of Chuck and Blair together during that day of filming, and they hold hands at one point. Also on the video is Chace Crawford (Nate Archibald).
Gossip Girl stars film scenes for season 3
July 2, 2009 by Cheril Vernon
Our favorite Gossip Girl stars are back on set filming for season three!
Ed Westwick (Chuck) and Leighton Meester (Blair) look pretty happy in the photos taken on the set in New York City on Monday. I wonder what their script reads like though? Are they happy and getting along? I love Blair’s very summery floral dress and it seems to go well with Chuck’s outfit.

In the photo below, Ed Westwick and Chace Crawford (Nate) admire a red Ferrari. According to Pacific Coast News, Chuck gives Nate the car.

Also on set was Blake Lively (Serena) in a robe. Follow the jump for more photos:
Gossip Girl cast back on set

The Gossip Girl cast returned to the set this week to start filming season three.
Thankfully, our Gossip Girl guys, including Chace Crawford and Ed Westwick shaved before returning to set! In fact, Chace’s hair is completely different. His hair is pushed back and is a more styled it seems.

I wonder what Chuck Bass will be doing this season? He’s always up to mischief so it should be interesting now that he’s out of high school. The world is practically at his feet.
And they are LOOKING GOOD! Follow the jump for more photos of Crawford and Westwick on set.
Gossip Girl’s Ed Westwick wins Breakthrough Male Award
June 11, 2009 by Cheril Vernon
Ed Westwick, who plays bad boy millionaire Chuck Bass on Gossip Girl, received the Breakthrough Male Award at the Hollywood Life 11th Annual Young Hollywood Awards.
I‘m glad to see Ed Westwick win the award — as he really does bring Chuck Bass to life on Gossip Girl.

The event was held June 7 at the Eli and Edythe Broad Stage in Santa Monica, California.
Korbi TV caught up with Ed Westwick on the red carpet, getting a few interesting details out of him.
When asked if he is a fan of Chuck and Blair, Ed Westwick said, “I am a fan of anything good - anything that has a good storyline — I’d like for them to give it a go, at least a real try.”
Ed Westwick also said he has seven tattoos, as Korbi was asking this question to several of the stars.
Here are more photos of Ed Westwick on the red carpet, looking suave as ever:

Here is a video featuring the Gossip Girl cast at the CW Upfront presentation on May 21 in New York City.
Later, the cast spent more time together posing for photos at the CW Upfront party.
Are you as excited about Season 3 starting as I am?
Gossip Girl 2.24 "Valley Girls" photos: Going back to the ’80s

Be sure to tune in tonight to watch Gossip Girl 2.24 “Valley Girls” - and get to see what it was like in the ’80s for Lily (played by Brittany Snow) after she gets kicked out of boarding school. Others starring in the ’80s flashback will be Krysten Ritter as Lily’s wild-child sister Carol, Cynthia Watros as Lily’s mom Cece and Andrew McCarthy as Lily’s dad Richard. If the ratings are good for this episode, we could see Lily’s life as a spinoff in the fall.
With Serena arrested thanks to her mother in the last episode, Serena (Blake Lively) doesn’t think her mom can relate, not realizing that Lily herself has been through many of the same things when she was her age. Plus, the whole reason Serena was arrested was bogus - as her mom said she stole a bracelet, the one she gave to her from her grandmother. It was more about Serena not following Lily’s orders when she asked her to stay out of the whole money scam ordeal involving Poppy Lifton.
Plus, this will be the prom episode (click here for photos from the prom) and we know there will be some drama between Nate, Blair and Chuck.
Here are more photos from the “Valley Girls” episode after the jump:
Gossip Girl’s Leighton Meester at the Chloe boutique opening
April 26, 2009 by Cheril Vernon

Gossip Girl star Leighton Meester (Blair Waldorf) was all dolled up for the Chloe Los Angeles Boutique Opening Celebration on Thursday, April 23 at Milk Studios in Los Angeles, California.
Check out her matching shoes! What do you think about this outfit?
The next day, Leighton gave away the Chloe dress to help the Humane Society (she’s a friend to our four-legged creatures!) as she mentioned during her Friday, April 24 appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show.
Follow the jump for a close-up of her shoes and more photos of Leighton:
Gossip Girl prom photos from the set
April 8, 2009 by Cheril Vernon
In these photos taken from the Gossip Girl set, Leighton Meester (Blair Waldorf) and Ed Westwick (Chuck Bass) are all dressed up for prom.
I wish I could see the top of Blair’s black and gold dress as it looks really beautiful. I’m so tired of seeing those jackets they wear, but I know it’s cold between takes. From what I can see, it definitely looks like a gown suited for a Queen Bee.
I love the color of Chuck’s tuxedo. I think this color of blue suits him a lot better than some of the pinks and purples and other strange colors they put him in sometimes.

GOSSIP GIRL CAPTION CONTEST: Blair and Dorota photo
February 11, 2009 by Cheril Vernon

I just adore this photo of Leighton Meester (Blair) and Zuzanna Szadkowski (Blair’s nanny/assistant Dorota) chatting as they walk to shoot the next scene for Gossip Girl in New York on Feb. 3.
It made me wonder what Blair has up her sleeve. Now, this is not an actual scene from the show, rather a candid shot of them between scenes.
But what if it was real?
What do you think Blair and Dorota are talking about?
The best caption posted below in the comments (keep it clean please and be sure to include your email) will win two really cute headbands.
The caption contest will end on Wednesday, Feb. 25 at 10 p.m. CST.
Here’s one more photo of the two:

Recently, I had the opportunity to interview designer Stacey Lapidus, whose hair accessories have been featured on Gossip Girl numerous times.
Lapidus recently launched a Holiday line of hair accessories, as well as bracelets, belts and scarves.
Lapidus’ designs have been featured in dozens of magazines and worn by celebrities including Mischa Barton, Sarah Michelle Geller, Paris Hilton, Nicole Ritchie, Kelly Ripa, Eva Langoria, Hilary Duff, Heidi Klum, Joss Stone, Stacey Kiebler, Paula Abdul, Charlotte Ronson.
She also collaborated with The O.C.’s Mischa Barton for a limited edition hair accessories line called Mischa Barton for Stacey Lapidus.
The Interview:
One of my favorite shows is Gossip Girl. Tell me about your experience providing hair accessories, especially for Leighton Meester who plays Blair Waldorf.
I have been a huge fan since episode one…way before I saw my first piece appear on the show. It’s quite a funny story how this relationship happened. I saw my first piece appear on the show and had no clue how it got there! I figured it was bought in a store as wardrobe often is, and I was just so excited to see it, as well as flattered!
