Hilary Duff is joining Gossip Girl for a multi-episode arc, according to EW.cm’s Ausiello Files.

Duff will play Olivia Burke, a movie star who enrolls at NYU — and will end up rooming with Vanessa (Jessica Szohr). That should be fun. How much you wanna bet that Duff’s movie star character is totally going to rub Vanessa the wrong way. Should make for some good laughs!

Duff will debut in Gossip Girl’s fourth episode in season 3, slated to air Oct. 5.

Is it possible that one of our Gossip Girl guys could interest Olivia? Hilary News reports that Olivia wants to date a “simple, nonfamous guy.”

That definitely fits Dan Humphrey’s (Penn Badgley) bill. And he would have the perfect hookup with Vanessa rooming with her.

Gossip Girl real-life couple Ed Westwick (Chuck) and Jessica Szohr (Vanessa) leave The Belmont hand in hand after lunch with a friend on June 6 in LA.

The couple has been spending a lot of time together during their break from Gossip Girl. Since first seen together around Thanksgiving, the couple has become more and more public as far as photographs goes. Neither have talked about their relationship publically though.

Filming for season 3 of Gossip Girl starts in mid-June. So what do the Gossip Girl stars think is coming up on the show for their characters? This video was taken at the CW upfronts last week.

Jessica Szohr (Vanessa) thinks her time with Nate (Chace Crawford) backpacking in Europe will have consequences. I’m not sure if she’s saying this is a good thing or a bad thing.

Penn Badgley (Dan) is ready for his character to loosen up quite a bit and enjoy being young. I think Penn wants to play the bad boy but is stuck in the good guy role.

Blake Lively (Serena) thinks it will be interesting for her character to try to find out more about her father and learn about her mother’s past (can you smell the Gossip Girl spinoff?).

What do you think of Gossip Girl’s Ed Westwick (Chuck Bass) playing the role of Heathcliff in the new Wuthering Heights movie?

Bond girl Gemma Arterton and Westwick will play star-cross lovers in the movie based on the book by Emily Bronte, according to the UK’s Daily Mail.

According to producer Robert Burnstein, the movie takes Heathcliff from a teen into his early 20s.

It’s radical because usually actors playing these characters are much older…We’re very proud to have British actors,” Burnstein told the Daily Mail.

Filming for the movie is expected to start in the fall. Westwick isn’t the only Gossip Girl cast member making movies.

Chace Crawford (Nate) has been cast in Footloose as Ren McCormick and is currently filming Twelve. Jessica Szohr (Vanessa) has parts in Piranah 3D and Walks.

Gossip Girl’s Jessica Szohr (Vanessa Abrams) has been cast in two movies - horror movie Piranha 3D and indie drama Walks.

Szohr is currently filming Piranha 3D during her break from Gossip Girl. Walks is an independent film also starring Gossip Girl spinoff actress Brittany Snow.

According to Variety, the movie Walks takes place in the underground street art world, centering around a group of young New Yorkers coming together for the homecoming of a convicted graffiti artist.

Szohr isn’t the only Gossip Girl cast member making movies. Chace Crawford was cast in the Footloose remake and Ed Westwick has been cast in Wuthering Heights.

The gals of Gossip Girl made a splashy appearance at the CW Upfront presentation on Thursday.

Leighton Meester (Blair), Jessica Szohr (Vanessa), Taylor Momsen (Jenny) and Blake Lively (Serena) showed off their individual personalities with their fashions on the “green” carpet during the CW upfronts.

Gossip Girl’s Jessica Szohr, who plays Vanessa Abrams, says the season finale “The Goodbye Gossip Girl” (2.25) today will be full of drama as everyone tries to figure out who Gossip Girl’s identity.

She also says couples who didn’t work out with other people might be getting back together. Could she be referring just to Chuck and Blair or to Nate and Vanessa too?

Szohr also discussed how season 3 will start, with a couple going to NYU, a couple to Brown and one person not going to college at all. Vanessa will be among those going to NYU.

Westwick looks pretty good in his uniform! I think it’s pretty cool to see the couple not hiding their relationship, and instead embracing it.

In conjunction with their game against the New York Red Bulls, LA Galaxy hosted the celebrity game that pitted British and American stars from sports, music, film and TV against one another. Yes, go ahead and squirm. Chuck and Vanessa will kiss on the next episode of Gossip Girl (2.20 “The Remains of The J”).

But why are they locking lips? To make Blair and Nate jealous, of course!

Will it work? I imagine on some level it will work a little, but I doubt that it will have the results they are hoping for.

According to Watch with Kristin!, Chuck and Vanessa will do more than kiss.

Remember this “OMG” video below that teased new Gossip Girl coming back on March 16? There are several scenes in this video that we know now will be in the new episode — Jenny’s birthday party, Poppy Lifton, and I imagine the scenes where Blair throws Nate down on the bed and Chuck is in bed with SOMEONE. It looks like Blair when I pause the video, but I’m not sure. Could it be Vanessa?

As Watch with Kristin’s column put it so eloquently: “Also on Monday, the sky turns orange, the earth rotates backward and locust swarms start eating the glass and steel off of skyscrapers.”
