Just a handful of weeks left until the Season Two Premiere of Gossip Girl… Until we have the new season to pick apart, we’ll have to rely on clips and promos.

(There was no vote on Wednesday for Music because we only had one suitable submission - the second song would not embed and we couldn’t locate English translations so Etta wins by default.)

The song is one of my favorites (the Verve’s Bittersweet Symphony which some folks associate with Cruel Intentions but I always think of Devil Wears Prada). The theme of the video is the friendship between Serena and Blair.

Socialite Paris Hilton will join the cast of Gossip Girl as Serena van der Woodsen’s former Swiss boarding school chum, Heidi.

Producers have brought the character of Heidi to the show to stoke lukewarm ratings and to drum up publicity for the re-premiere this season. However, if Hilton’s film work is any indication of her popularity as an actress, the stunt will likely be a ratings disaster.

The CW is staying mum on their plans for Heidi’s character. Will Heidi make a play for Dan in an effort to make Serena jealous? Not likely. Even on a fictional TV show, Hilton would not associate with someone from Brooklyn.

When asked to comment about her appearance on the show, Hilton replied simply, “That’s hot.”

Blake Lively has her idea of who Gossip Girl really is. And the New York Daily News thinks they know.

Nobody knows for sure since Gossip Girl swears “I’ll never tell.”

But what if it were… you? That’s right, you.

I’m giving you, the Gossip Girl Report reader, the opportunity to guest post on Gossip Girl Report as Gossip Girl! You can take the perspective of whatever form you think Gossip Girl is to report on anything of interest - music, fashion, hookups, school, family - that’s happening with the characters or cast (and yes, you can TOTALLY make it up).

Here’s the scoop:

1, You don’t have to use your real name but it’s kind of cool if you do.
2, You can be as creative as you like. You can write it in txt fmt as if you were posting from your cell phone. You can use or manipulate photos. You can create a fan video - like Madi did. Or you can write a quick note. The more innovative and cool, the better.
3, Email your entry to me (you’ll see my email link in the sidebar to the right).
4, Act quickly - I’m posting the submissions through February 21 as part of the Entertainment Channel’s Survivor Challenge.
5, And there are no “winners” or “losers” so don’t feel intimidated at all. Nobody’s here to judge (that’s Gossip Girl’s job!) - just to have fun.
6, That said, as a thank you for your hard work, I’ll re-post my favorite of the lot on the debut date of the “new” old season (April 21) - with a chance for you to update it as you see fit.

Ich habe beide verloren. Meine große Liebe und meinen besten Freund, der sogar mein einziger Freund war. Ich kann mich nicht entscheiden, was schlimmer ist.

Ich sehe sie… Blair rauscht wie eine göttliche Diva an mir vorbei und ignoriert die Schmetterlinge, die meine Bauchwand durchbrochen haben und zu ihr flattern wollen.

Ich denke wie ein Kind, aber Blair hat in mir Gefühle ausgelöst, von denen ich nie dachte, dass sie bei mir existieren. Ich verdamme sie dafür. Nein, ich verdamme mich dafür. Und ich weiß jetzt, warum ich altes Ekel früher nie Gefühle zugelassen habe - damit man mich eben nicht so leicht verletzt.

I chose this particular piece because the title is “Chuck: Schmetterlinge.” My daughter’s favorite word in German is schmetterling, which means “butterfly.”

I did a quick translation on Google Translate and got the following:

I have both lost. My love and my best friend, even my only friend. I can not decide what is worse.

I see them … Blair roars like a divine diva to me and ignored the butterflies that my abdominal wall and through to her flutter.

I think like a child, but Blair has triggered feelings in me that I never thought that I exist. I condemned them for that. No, I condemned me for that. And I know now why I never once disgust old feelings have been approved - so I am not so easily breached.

Keep in mind that translations aren’t perfect so the word order is a bit awkward. But what do you think?
