Leighton Meester’s Biggest Beauty Blunder
Leighton Meester tells People that her biggest beauty blunder involved her hair:
One time, I dyed my hair for a part. I did like bright red, fire-engine streaks with black underneath. Those red streaks weren’t so bad. But the black did not come out of my hair until it grew out. It took so long to get rid of.
Mine? After quitting my law job, I decided to dye my hair burgundy “for a change.” I loved it - but then I got a phone call the very next day for an interview at another firm. Since I couldn’t go with purple hair, I tried washing it a million times hoping that some of the dye would come out. Nope. Panicked, I ran to the salon. They couldn’t go lighter but they could go darker. So, I had a bit of a hard, goth edge when I was done. Add some red lipstick and I looked very corporate but not very me! Nonetheless, I got the job!
