Who’s that Again? Gossip Girl Recurring Cast Members
With all of the comings and goings on the show lately, it’s hard to keep everyone straight - as my crazy fingers showed last night during the live blog…
Here’s a list of some recurring cast members:
Zuzanna Szadkowski (Dorota, the Waldorf maid)
Nicole Fiscella (Isabel Coates)
Dreama Walker (Hazel)
Yin Chang (the infamous Nelly Yuki)
Amanda Setton (Penelope)
Michelle Trachtenberg (the hated Georgina Sparks)
Jesse Swenson (Asher Hornsby)
And don’t forget, Nan Zhang has left the show (supposedly at Leighton Meester’s behest). The show never explained why her character, Katy Farkas, is no longer around.

I thought they mentioned on the show that Katy’s family moved back to Israel because her father got a job there or something.
Iz said something about it during last night’s episode on how she wished she was in Israel instead of NYC so she didn’t have to take the SATs.

I think it was mentioned in the beginning of 1×14 too, when Serena and Blair are walking to school and Serena tells Blair everything that happened during spring break.

Yeah, when S was catching B up on the gossip from during spring break, she said, “And Katy’s dad moved her whole family back to Israel.”
And in this weeks episode Isabel was joking about booking a flight to Tel Aviv, that Katy had the right idea to bail out rather than have to take the SATs.
So, at least they didn’t just yank her without explanation.
