Who’s That Gossip Girl?
It’s Gossip Girl’s Leighton Meester… from waaay back in the day.
This is a studio (NBC) photo from 2005. Unlike some of her costars on the show, Leighton has been working in film and television for a number of years. By 2005, she had made guest appearances on Veronica Mars (where she likely met Gossip Girl cast mate Kristen Bell), 8 Simple Rules and 24.
An interesting tidbit worth noting is that Leighton’s hair is brown in this photo. There have been rumors circulating on the internet that Leighton is a natural blonde but dyed her hair brunette solely to audition for the role of Blair Waldorf on Gossip Girl. Natural blonde or not, she clearly wasn’t blonde a few years before the audition!

-yes, i was able to watch that and i really did not recognize leighton at first. haha, she’s definitely prettier as a brunette :)

omg house is like my obssesion(?) and since i own all the seasons on dvd i watched and i was like omg, SHE WAS BLONDE! i dont like her as i blonde, its not blonde its like yellow, so its fake. she makes a good brunette(?)
