Blake Lively Appears on Teen Vogue Cover
So what does Blake Lively have in common with her alter ego, Serena van der Woodsen? Not a lot, she reveals to Teen Vogue. In fact, she says of her high school days, “For fun, I’d go to school fundraisers at Fuddruckers, not drink martini’s at the New York Palace bar.”
She credits her family for keeping her grounded. “They are my best friends, anything that goes wrong I go to them. I’m not a wild person at all,” she says, “you never read about me dancing on a banquette at some club because that never happens.”
She hasn’t let the fame go to her head, and feels sad for what the limelight has done to girls like Britney Spears. “I want to see what everyone else would do in her situation, she so talented and misguided. She has lived her whole life in front of an audience.”
She denies rumors that she doesn’t get along with Leighton (Meester) and says of her relationship with Penn Badgley, “I try not to talk about my dating life. I want to, but once you start, it’s all downhill from there.” Hmm. Not a no.

An it girl.
She isn’t really definable.
All you know is that EVERYONE looks up to her and EVERYONE wants to be her. even if they don’t admit it outloud.
You have to be cool. confident. collected. stylish. observanant. protective but outgoing. nice but not overly nice. smart but not nerdy. its the perfect median that rises above all the others. it is something that usually doesn’t just happen. you are born with it. people know it from when your a little girl.
i know this sounds cheesy and fake. but if you think about it all makes since. something must make you an it-girl say a family name, money, a hot story, or even just that feeling of power, but that doesn’t mean you didn’t have that potential all along.
as for who i would call an it girl… i would have to say blake is probably one. she has a clean slate and a rep of perfection. and i love her acting and she is gorgeous.
me? I wouldn’t say i’m an it girl by any means. i don’t live a “life of luxury” but i’m am definently not un-popular. i don’t think i would ever really want to become an “it girl”. i mean who always wants to be perfect? and being an it-girl seems like it demands perfection.
but lets get this straight. i’m not going to tell you what you are and what you aren’t.
and niether should anyone else.
