Gossip Girl Strike Update

The good news is that thirteen episodes of Gossip Girl were produced before the writers went on strike.

The bad news is that twelve have aired so far.

Nah, you don’t have to be a whiz at math to know that the next episode, The Thin Line Between Chuck and Nate, is the last for a bit. Enjoy it. Savor it. Come back and talk about it.

    …meaning we have to wait until next fall for more? I cant imagine that. Is there a possibility of more episodes after a small hiatus? This show was doing so well, too. First to be picked up for an entire season, but so much for that…

    This makes me sad =[
    But, ultimately, I do support the writers. I’d rather have good television than have really badly written stories.
    Even if that means waiting.
    How long do you think the wait’s gonna be? Gossip Girl used to be the highlight of my week!

    Gosh, I dunno. The last lengthy strike was in 1988 and went on for 22 weeks. This one, so far, has lasted about half that time.

    like cant these people,
    just go and pay the writers
    like gossip girl is going to
    go down the drain because
    it will never have epsiode 14,
    i just want to know whats going
    to happen. Writers should just write,
    they already get alot of money

    writers do get a lot of money, but overall they should be getting more. i don’t blame them for going on strike cause the companies have to give in sooner or later. a settlement may be reached by the end of this week! :) thank goodness! the producers of GG were smart to film so far ahead and space out some of the episodes so us fans aren’t waiting as long as others have been :P
