A Gossip Girl Christmas Flashback

All of this talk about Serena and Nate getting back together in the comments has me wondering, “Could it happen?”

Would the writers really break up Serena and Dan after this Christmas?

Maybe for a little drama?

    I Read the last book by accident and i know for a fact the S writes a note 2 N saying that she always loved him and that she wanted him 2 know that. i think if i am remembering correctly they do go out and D and S brake up soooooo……..anything could happen….

    I hate to say it, but I wouldn’t mind seeing the writers break Dan and Serena up. It happens in the books and well, frankly, they’re getting a little bit boring.

    Elle, I agree. I liked the tension between them. I hope that something happens to make them question whether they are meant to be together. No one - even in the best of relationships - can be happy all of the time.

    Too true. I did too. It was the stuff from the very beginning that made me like to see them together, for instance, the time Dan found out that Serena slept with Nate. The whole scene where they walked away from each other I was just screaming ‘LOOK BACK! LOOK BACK!’ But now I’ve just lost interest with the fact that their relationship seems to be working out overly well.

    Which is odd, don’t you think?

    While I realize that Dan is supposed to be super-mature, ya-da-ya-da, I would think that it would be difficult for him to overlook Serena’s *past* if it kept coming back to haunt him. And the swim team bit would have been a perfect place to introduce at the least a small schism.

    I mean, who among us is completely comfortable with a significant other’s past? Even one that isn’t spotty?
