Blake Lively Voted Sexiest Newcomer
January 31, 2008 by Kelly
Gossip Girl’s Blake Lively was voted sexiest newcomer in “Victoria’s Secret: What Is Sexy? 2008” list.
Also making the list were Fergie and Josh Duhamel as the sexiest couple and Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo as the sexiest athlete. You might remember Romo’s connection with Gossip Girl - Romo dated Carried Underwood who is now reportedly dating Chace Crawford.
I would agree with the votes for Blake. She looks terrific here at Chanel Fine Jewelry’s ‘Night of Diamonds’ dinner at The Plaza Hotel in New York City - don’t you think?
But Romo? Ugh. What about Beckham (sorry, caught a little drool there), Andy Roddick, Jeremy Bloom, Fredrik Ljungberg or Apolo Ohno?
Lex Luthor is Blair Waldorf’s Father
January 31, 2008 by Kelly

John Shea, who plays Blair Waldorf’s father on Gossip Girl Report, is no stranger to television.
While he has starred in a number of films and television, including guest roles on Sex and the City and Medium, he is perhaps best known for his role at Lex Luthor in Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman. He appeared on the first full season one and had guest appearances in seasons two and three.
I’ll admit that I watched Superman. I had a mad crush on Dean Cain as Superman (c’mon, who didn’t?). The role of Lois Lane was played by Teri Hatcher, best known for her role on the popular Desperate Housewives.

Gossip Girl’s Ed Westwick Is…
January 30, 2008 by Kelly
Well, you fill in the blank.
There’s a cool interview over at fanlib with Ed Westwick. Among other things that surprised me to find out… he rooms with Chace Crawford while he’s filming in New York.
For more about Ed, check out these prior posts.

Pretty Girl - Fan Video

While I wait for the new season to begin, I’ve been plowing through some fan videos. This one is particularly good. I love the music (Pretty Girl by Sugarcult) and the clips are phenomenal.
Enjoy!
Ed Westwick Will Not Make an Appearance at the State of the Union Address
So why watch it?
Oh, c’mon. Don’t accuse me of being superficial. I’m as newsy as the next person. I care what’s happening in the world. I also know that I can read the State of the Union address in its entirety tomorrow in the paper - nothing says I have to tune in for what promises to be a long (yawn) and politically charged speech.

For tonight, I’m tuning in to Gossip Girl as the first season rebroadcasts - the CW promises extra bonus material, too. I think we know the state of the union that most Gossip Girl fans care about.
As for politics, I’ve got you covered. If you’re missing George, Condi, Dick and the gang, you can check them out here with this amusing CW promo.

Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 2
January 27, 2008 by Kelly

It hasn’t been all Gossip Girl for Blake Lively. She’s been hard at work with the follow-up to The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants, called, not surprisingly, The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 2.
Directed by Directed by Sanaa Hamri, the sequel features the original cast of Blake Lively, Alexis Bledel, America Ferrera and Amber Tamblyn. It is scheduled for wide release on August 8, 2008.

Take a gander at one of my favorite fan videos of late:
Love the song. And the clips match up well. Play it twice.

Gossip Girl Heads Back to TV
January 25, 2008 by Kelly
Well, sort of.
While we wait out the strike, CW will rebroadcast the entire Gossip Girl first season in order every Monday at 8:00 pm EST.
But first, the CW will air a special, 90-minute GOSSIP GIRL REVEALED, on Monday, January 28, at 8:00pm EST. The show will be hosted by the stars of Gossip Girl and will include exclusive, never-before-seen bonus material.
In the following weeks, The CW will air all of the GOSSIP GIRL episodes in consecutive order every Monday (8:00-9:00 p.m. ET).
See you there. XOXO.

January 24, 2008 by Kelly
The New York Daily News is claiming to know the identity of Gossip Girl.
As viewers of the show well know, the identity of Gossip Girl is a big secret. In fact, Gossip Girl is only known on the show by the voice over, well done by Kristen Bell, formerly of the CW’s Veronica Mars and now on Heroes.
So what do the folks at the New York Daily News think?
