Jessica Simpson’s Six Degrees of Gossip Girl Separation

Dallas fans were not cheering Jessica Simpson last night. Many blamed her presence for Tony Romo’s abysmal performance against the Philadelphia Eagles in the Cowboys’ 10-6 loss. The Cowboys had been the heavy favorites (except, of course, here in Philadelphia!).
What’s the Gossip Girl connection?
Tony Romo seems to have a flair for blonde distractions. His quarterback passing rating was a woeful 22 – his lowest since… former girlfriend and Idol winner Carrie Underwood appeared in the stands this time last year.
Carrie, of course, has moved on from Tony. She is maybe-perhaps-nobody’s saying dating Gossip Girl’s Chace Crawford. Since production has reportedly now ceased on Gossip Girl due to the strike, Chace doesn’t have to worry about distractions for his career.
As for Romo? According to the Dallas Morning News, he was heckled outside the arena by a fan who shouted, “Worry about the game, not your girlfriend!”

I hope Tony breaks up with Jessica because I was never of Jessica. If Tony is happy then I’m happy if he isn’t happy then I’m not happy.
