Blair and Chuck? Could It Ever Work?
During last week’s episode of “Victor, Victrola“, my friends and I briefly discussed the fate of a Blair and Chuck relationship. I wasn’t surprised at all that the two of them had hooked up (though I thought the circumstances to be terribly un-Blair). I had always assumed that Blair would not end up with Nate - she is too narcissistic and he too needy - although I’m sure the writers have some sort of Blair/Nate on again/off again romantic entanglement planned to toy with our emotions for the remaining 6 or so episodes of the season.
And weeks before, I had suggested the possibility of Blair falling for Dan (you can vote in the sidebar) much to the horror of my friends.
But I could see the Chuck and Blair thing working out. They are, after all, terribly alike. Two lost souls, pretending to be full of bravado, searching for something… affirmation, love, attention… while being held back because they can’t let go of the worlds that they come from. It’s all so Kelly Taylor/Dylan McKay. Lots of drama. Lots of excitement.
I think that Nate has too much going on to make the kind of regular dedication that Blair seems to need. When Chuck does have focus, it’s intense, and he clearly despises his father’s love of indiscretion. Maybe, just maybe, that would make him a keeper as far as Blair’s concerned.

well, I am in love with the idea of the chuck and blair ship! chuck seems to truly care about blair. I mean the way at the end of seventeen candles that chuck comes into the bedroom to give her his present and tells her how beautiful she is.

zomg. Blair and Chuck are majorly cute together. Nate is so bad for Blair, but Chuck was so incredibly sweet, like how he came in when she was crying, how he was talking about butterflies… I just wish Blair could get over Nate, though. *_*

i think they have such UNDENIABLE CHEMISTRY! dan and serena are okay, like i dont have a problem with them but i dont feel the “burning chemistry” factor.

Oh man, do I love the Chuck and Blair(Chair? Or is it Buck? Black? LOL) pairing! I just wish Blair would see that he’s not so bad, and actually has a sensitive side to him. He’s so keen to her needs and feelings, unlike that of Nate.
Needless to say, I would like to see more of Chuck and Blair together in future Gossip Girl episodes.

I’m extremely fond of the Chuck/Blair ship; they have so much chemistry, they’re so similar. I do feel like part of Blair feels like it needs to be with Nate, though. I’m also afraid that Chuck, at this point, is too head-over-heels to notice that she may not be completely sincere in her affections, that she’s still torn. Just a thought. Lovely blog, by the way. Glad I found it.

i’m always a fan of blair, even in the books. serena’s a better character, but blair’s more fun and bitchy. that’s what gossip girl’s for right? and everybody loves a bad guy, and the way chuck shows affection for blair, it’s just so HOT! :D i’m rooting for blair and chuck together!

I personally think that the Chuck and Blair relationship is so totally cool.Under all that booze drinking-womanizing -Armani wearing exterier,He is actually a guy who wants to be loved!And Blair needs someone to love her after all that crap that she went through with Nate(who most likley is probably going to go out with Jenny).Blair should stop building a wall around her and let Chuck understand her.So, I really agree with all yiu guys.All of your blogs were interesting to read!!

I think Chuck and Blair is the hottest couple in AGES on TV. I read the books and I often find myself wondering why the author didn’t do it herself. I’m now totally hooked since the end of Victor/Victrola. All I can say is I PRAY they keep that couple together.

I think that you are right. There is something about Blair that partly wants Chuck to have her but i think that she is denying it. Chuck and Blair make the perfect couple. They are so much alike and I think that he might actually really care about her.

NO WAY! I realize that the show is completely different than the books…Chuck Bass? Blair would never stoop that low! Her and Nate are meant to be together and Chuck’s just a temporary distraction

i mean, with him she went there, danced and also took off some of her clothes! I don’t think she’d do it with someone else.
And Nate, omg, he doesn’t love her! He doesn’t even respect her. When she broke up with him he started to show a little bit of interesting for her but just because she has changed.
