Get the Look: Gossip Girl Pearls

One of the hottest fashion trends this year is making its mark on Gossip Girl: pearls. And why not? Nothing says uber-chic like a classic strand of pearls (think Holly Golightly in Breakfast at Tiffany’s).
Consider:

But for the rest of us? Glass pearls are likely more our speed. You can find the looks for less a retailer like Megumi.
These pearls, at $160 and $180, respectively, are a whole lot more affordable (nobody has to know) and just as stunning.
So whether you’re dressing up for drinks at the Palace or dressing “down” for school, consider throwing on a string (or two) of pearls to add a little class to your outfit. Pearls make a statement.

I love pearls. Lucky me, I have a pair of real natural ones that my great-aunt had in the twenties, in her flapper days. I inherited it when she died a few years back. I say if you have no real ones, go splurge! Spending some green is better than a fake, even with pearls.
