Who’s on First?
Earlier in the season, it was reported that Lindsey Broad would be playing the role of Vanessa, who is introduced as a possible love interest for Dan in episode 6.
However, TV Guide and others have reported that Jessica Szohr (who played Barry Watson’s neighbor on Seventh Heaven and also had a recurring bit on What About Brian?) has won the role. Anyone know what happened? Was Lindsey replaced? Or was IMDB just plain wrong? The CW web site does not yet have a mention of Vanessa.

I think jessica plays her because i saw Blake and Leighton on TRL last week and that girl was in the new Daughtry music video and they said “thats Jessica” and that she was coming on the show in episode five i think. i could be wrong though.

Do you think she’s as good a fit? Lindsay struck me as quirky - not quite alternative enough. Jessica seems too “pretty/normal” to be Vanessa.

On the same note, it appears they changed the actress who plays Blair’s mother. The person who points Serena out at the party in the first episode is definitely not the same person who shows up in “Bad News Blair.” I originally thought it was Elizabeth Perkins but it appears to be Margaret Colin (although it’s not listed on IMDB yet).
