A Gossip Girl Primer: Nate Archibald
Nate Archibald is the boy that every girl wants. Only Nate isn’t sure which girl he wants. He is the on again, off again boyfriend of Blair Waldorf, but Nate has something of a wandering eye. And more than once, it’s wandered over to Serena.
Like Serena and Blair, Nate is wealthy and attractive. He’s also mischevious, rebellious and easily bored. He enjoys smoking pot, something that got him into trouble in high school. He appears with a joint in almost every Gossip Girl book.
Nate was slated to go to Yale, but took time off to explore the world and find himself. I wonder if he’ll “find himself” with Serena or Blair…

i totally agree nate is sometimes used by blair dont get me wrong he uses her but its a two-way street.

I think he uses her because he’s a lost soul and isn’t quite sure what he wants.
My opinion of the character has changed a lot since the show began - and it’s wildly different than I thought of him in the books (in the books, I thought he was a big loser).

nate and blair r so on again off again. he uses her abit so that he wont be lonly but then soon as she leaves him, he wants her back. He should make up his mind rather than keep ditching her all the time.
